The Saunders Reunion

Four weeks today and the Saunders reunion in Portland (Victoria Australia) should be well underway.......Have been burning the midnight oil putting together a booklet about the family. Nicholas Saunders and Elizabeth Tytherleigh arrived in Portland in 1857, although on the same ship, we are fairly certain that they didn't start the voyage knowing each other, however the romantic in me imagines that they may have indeed started their romance on board the 'Mary Ann'. They married in Portland in on 4th September 1860, 150 years ago, hence the reason for the reunion!
